  • Autumn Leaf Festival   The Museum of Ashe County History is excited to announce its largest festival of the year. Join us for historic demonstrations, vendors, children’s activities, food and more from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The festival is FREE and open to the public.

  • Angel Street    A thriller, Angel Street, tells the story of Jack Manningham slowly driving his wife, Bella, into sanity under the guise of kindness. The kindly inspector, Roughy, convinces Bella that her husband is a maniacal criminal wanted for murder. Together they trap Jack in his own game. Tickets are $16 adults and $5 students and may be purchased the Ashe Arts Center or by phone at 336-846-2787.

Red Leaf Trees Near the Road

  • Autumn Leaf Tour   At 9:30 the van leaves the Museum to travel the back roads of Ashe County during the peak of our Fall foliage. This tour is a bit different that the others as it focuses on the trees and colorful plants that make Ashe County a perfect destination for leaf peeping. We will stop along the way for lunch, not included in the price of the tour. Seating is limited, reservations required. Please contact the Museum to reserve your space at          336-846-1904. $15.00

  • Festival of the Frescoes   This popular, well-attended annual festival features booths by Local Artisans, delicious Bakery, Silent Auction, incredible Granny's Attic, yummy Lunch by Men's group, Activities for Children, and Tours of the Frescoes at Holy Trinity.

  • Todd New River Fall Festival   On the banks of the New River, thought to be the second oldest river in the world, take in live music, storytelling, arts & crafts booths, a checkers playoff, special children’s activities including face painting, & much more...

  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs   Missoula Children's Theatre will be in Ashe County  with a week long theatre residency with over 50 Ashe County Students.

When:   Saturday October 27, 2018   2 performances,  3:00 Pm and 7:30 PM    Tickets are $12 adults and $5 students. Tickets may be purchased at the Ashe Arts Center or by calling 336-846-2787.

  • Hayes Chamber Artists   An evening of chamber music on Saturday, November 3rd at the Ashe Arts Center with a concert by the Hayes Chamber Artists. The ASU Hayes School of Music faculty member ensemble includes Nancy Bargerstock, violin; Junie Cho, piano; Eric Koontz, viola; and Priscilla Porterfield, mezzo-soprano.Repertoire include selections of Mozart, Brahms and the Ned Rorem Serenade of Five English Poems for violin, viola, voice and piano. $16 adults and $5 students.

  • West Jefferson Annual Holiday Parade   Start your winter holidays off right in downtown West Jefferson with our Annual Holiday Parade! There will be high school bands, floats, and the big man himself: Santa Claus!!

Illuminated Christmas Lights at Night

  • Annual Hometown Christmas   Start your Christmas off with us in West Jefferson at our official lighting of the community Christmas tree with Santa, carolers, and hot chocolate. Great fun for the whole family!

  • Two on Tap   Get ready for a toe-tapping, music filled night to kick off the holiday season on Thursday, November 29 at the Ashe Civic Center. Singing and dancing into the evening will be Ronald D. Stefano and Melissa Giattano on stage as Two on Tap. Two on Tap brings audiences back in time to an era when couples like Fred and Ginger filled the silver screen with gorgeous vocals, exciting choreography and unique music.
